Shawnigan Lake , Cobble Hill and Mill Bay

North of the Malahat Drive , this area is home to farms, several wineries and a cidery . BC Ferries runs a small car ferry from Mill Bay to Brentwood Bay on the Saanich Peninsula .

Duncan

Located in the Cowichan Valley, Duncan is has over 70 totem poles and the Quw'utsun Cultural Centre (www.quwutsun.ca) which features demonstrations of First Nations art, storytelling and dance. Also on prominent display in front of the community arena is the world's largest hockey stick.

Chemainus

Chemainus is famous for its giant murals throughout the town. In 1982, the town of 4,000 people began a revitalization project of painting murals depicting their heritage on buildings.
